Salih Polater completed his LL.M. at Albert-Ludwigs-University and his PhD at the University of Konstanz. With a scholarship from the Max-Planck-Institute for Innovation and Competition, he conducted his doctoral studies at this Max-Planck-Institute in Munich.

He specialises in intellectual property law, commercial law, contracts and personal data protection law.

Mr. Polater is a member of Freunde und ehemalige Mitarbeiter des Max-Planck-Instituts für Immaterialgüter- und 1. Wettbewerbsrecht e.V. and Deutsch-türkische Juristenvereinigung.

He is on the list of lawyers of the German Embassy Ankara.
